Due to storage capabilities, we can only accept firearms for govt modification that you emailed the details and notification number to us, we cannot accept firearms if the paperwork has not been emailed to us prior.

We will need the following information from you emailed to us:
First you will need to notify the police your intention to modify your firearm using the “notification form” on the police website. You need to do this by registering your prohibited firearm with intent to modify with an approved gunsmith. https://www.police.govt.nz/advice/firearms-and-safety/changes-firearms-law-prohibited-firearms/completingupdating-firearms The police will then issue you with a "notification number" we will need this number. ***** WE HAVE ONLY BEEN GIVEN UNTIL 20TH DECEMBER 2019 TO MODIFY YOUR FIREARM, THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE EXTENDED IS IF THE POLICE KNOW HOW MANY FIREARMS NEED TO BE MODIFIED AND THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL KNOW IS THROUGH NOTIFYING THEM THROUGH THIS PROCESS YOU MUST NOTIFY THE POLICE YOUR INTENTION TO MODIFY NOW *****
Your modification will not be paid for by the government if you do not register your firearm as per above. If your firearm is being couriered you will need to pay the courier fee of $30 each way as the government will not pay for this, they will only pay for the modification.
