The Enclosed Barrel Suppressor System (EBS)

The EBS suppressor is the latest innovation from Gunworks Canterbury.

With all this talk of light weight suppressors, GUNWORKS have gone one step further, a suppressor that weighs nothing and adds no length to your rifle!!!!

Impossible you say?.............read further.

We can take a Remington M700 and fit the EBS suppressor, during the process we also turn weight off the barrel between centres, and shorten to our optimium length. The end result is that our EBS Remington is the same length as the factory rifle and weighs slightly less than it did when it left the Remington factory.

We also swell the forearm of the stock before maching it for the EBS suppressor, and this retains excellant lines and forearm shape, check the pictures below to see the care and attention that goes into stock fit.

Currently our jigs and tooling is only for Rem 700 and Tikka T3s with plastic stocks. Calibres: .223 Rem. .243 Win, 7mm-08 Rem and .308 Win. No other options are available currently sorry. Delivery time is 40 days approx.

These are a very time consuming product to make, due to the extra stock work and requirement to slow turn the barrel between centres for weight reduction. The current retail is $NZ600 plus gst, it costs us money to make them, but hey, we think your worth it!

And yes, Sebastian, the suppressor does come off so you can clean the carbon off, as we know that that option is extremely exciting for some!....personally we put a bit of grease on the outside of the barrel and leave it well alone.

17HMR

At GUNWORKS CANTERBURY, we have a solution to the .17HMR bark, using 7075 Tooling Plate aluminum (same as M16 rifles are made from) and Stainless baffles, we can reduce the blast of the .17HMR by about half, sounds a little less than an ordinary Hi-velocity .22LR.

These suppressors have very small baffles and front cap, hence the .17HMR engraved on the front to identify that it is not for use on a .22.

Thread is standard 1/2x20 UNF, although we can make it any thread you want. 34mm in Diameter and 145mm long.

This is a high quality item, polished anodised body and a knurled section for easy fitting.

Your muzzle can be threaded by any gunsmith, but be aware that the baffle clearances are very tight, so threading needs to be done completely with the lathe tool, no die nuts!

We can also thread if required for $65 plus gst and return freight. This includes recrown and custom fitted thread protector.

.22LR suppressors have been dropped and we recommend the .22 magnum for both the .22 LR rimfires and the .22 Magnum rimfires.
