Christchurch Earthquake

Gunworks is still operating without any major problems. Our workshop was largely uneffected by the quake, all staff are on board and at this stage we are business as usual. If your rifle arrived here on Thursday 2nd or Friday 3rd September onwards (for a suppressor) you may experience a small delay. If your rifle arrived before this date you should be uneffected and your suppressor request done within the original quoted 7-10 working day time frame.

The delay that you may receive if your rifle arrived from Thursday onwards is due to the Christchurch anodisers. The liquid in their tanks slopped from one to the other and they need to empty and clean their tanks and before they can be refilled and re heated. Once this is done, the anodisers will need to clear their back log. We anticipate that they will be starting the backlog (all going well) later this week. For every large aftershock experienced though, this will put their cleaning up process (at the anodiers) behind again.

Expect that your suppressor request will take 7-10 working days because of this and may even take a day or too longer. We do not anticipate the delay in getting your rifle done will be too long at all but this is totally up to nature.

We have spoken with Fastway Couriers and they have said at this stage, business as normal and apart from being extremely busy, there shouldnt be any holdups delivering your rifle here or getting it back to you.
